Writing Process

The six steps of the writing process according to Behrens are Understanding the task, gathering data, invention, drafting, revision, and then editing. My writing process is very similar to Behrens process but may be slightly different. Out of all of the six steps, I probably would say that I prefer the invention step. The part where you use the information you have gathered and add on to it in the paper seems to be the easiest for me while the gathering the data part would be the hardest because I like when I can quickly start typing a paper and get it done. The invention step where you can free write and have the bulk of the actual paper is the part I enjoy because in my opinion it is the easiest freestyle writing is just easy since there are few restrictions on how to type with that style. I would say that another part that seems to have some difficulty for me would be the first step, understanding and developing the topic or task. Just recently within the past year I feel that I have acquired more of a skill for typing papers since they seem to come easily to me.
